Process Engineer - Fluid Catalytic Cracking - Refinery Experience Only

JOB OVERVIEW

Aramco is recruiting an experienced Downstream Process Engineer specializing in Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) for its Downstream Operation Engineering Solutions Department. The role provides process-engineering and operations expertise to monitor, optimize and improve FCC performance across refinery operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review FCC-unit performance using operational, reliability, profitability and process-safety indicators.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting, optimization, debottlenecking, revamps and upgrades.
• Lead benchmarking, best-practice exchange and performance-improvement programs.
• Support FCC engineering and procurement activities and coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation and electrical disciplines.
• Evaluate new technologies, maintain technical documentation and contribute to training and incident investigations.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of refinery-operations experience, including at least 10 years of hands-on FCC operations and optimization experience.
• Strong knowledge of FCC processes, catalysts, troubleshooting, refinery economics and relevant industry standards.
• Experience with FCC-related process simulation software and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
