Director of Sales & Distribution

JOB OVERVIEW

Marriott International is recruiting a Director of Sales & Distribution for Courtyard by Marriott Nizwa Resort in Nizwa, Oman. This full-time management role leads day-to-day sales activities, develops value-based customer relationships, supports revenue growth and guides the hotel sales team toward property booking and commercial objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead daily sales activities and support implementation of the property sales strategy.
• Work with hotel leadership to build and execute sales plans addressing revenue, customers and target market segments.
• Set a strong commercial example through personal booking goals and recommend booking targets for direct reports.
• Participate in sales calls, acquire new business and support the closing and operational execution of confirmed business.
• Analyze market and sales information and support revenue-management projections and financial room and catering goals.
• Review guest and client satisfaction results and identify opportunities for service and commercial improvement.
• Lead customer relationships before, during and after events or programs, ensuring solutions reflect client needs and property capabilities.
• Coach employees, reinforce brand standards and support continuous improvement in sales and guest service.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Either a 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related field plus 3 years of sales/marketing or related experience; or a 4-year bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 1 year of relevant sales/marketing experience.
• For the 2-year degree pathway, the employer states leisure experience in the Oman market or GCC Marriott/resort experience is preferred.
• Strong sales leadership, customer-relationship and revenue-management capability.
• Ability to analyze market information and translate it into sales activity and property performance.
