Engineer - Utilities

JOB OVERVIEW

AECOM is recruiting a Utilities Engineer in Dubai for a major Roads and Bridges project. The role supervises and coordinates wet and dry utilities within RTA projects and ensures safe, compliant delivery with UAE authorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate utility protection, diversion and reinstatement works within road corridors.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, materials and technical proposals for MEP and utility services.
• Coordinate NOCs, service diversions, connections, shutdowns and inspections with DEWA, Etisalat, DU, Dubai Municipality and other authorities.
• Manage interfaces between utilities, civil works, structures, roadworks and traffic diversions.
• Inspect contractor work, issue NCRs/observations and monitor corrective actions.
• Verify testing, commissioning and final authority approvals and support project handover.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of utility experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 5 years of Dubai experience with a proven RTA-project track record.
• Previous RTA approval is advantageous.
• UAE Society of Engineers membership is preferred.
