Inspector - Civil

JOB OVERVIEW

AECOM is hiring a Civil Inspector in Dubai to supervise and inspect stormwater drainage and microtunnelling works and ensure construction complies with approved drawings, project standards and UAE authority requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect excavation, shoring, backfilling, shafts, microtunnelling, reinforcement, concrete, waterproofing and finishing works.
• Verify pipeline alignment, gradients and levels and monitor civil workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, RTA and project quality procedures.
• Record site manpower, equipment and material deliveries.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, observations, test results and safety notes.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover of stormwater networks.
• Review RFIs, method statements and variance requests and follow corrective actions.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of construction/supervision experience in sewerage, stormwater, irrigation and miscellaneous civil works.
• At least 5 years of UAE experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, codes, quality control and contract documents.
