Resident Engineer - Construction Supervision Building

JOB OVERVIEW

AECOM is hiring a Resident Engineer in Abu Dhabi to act as the on-site technical representative for building construction supervision, with responsibility for quality, safety, documentation, cost and schedule control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise construction activities and site engineering teams.
• Inspect work, materials and equipment for compliance with project documents and quality standards.
• Enforce site safety procedures and support incident follow-up.
• Manage daily logs, inspection records, test reports and as-built documentation.
• Resolve construction issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Communicate project status with clients and project management and monitor budget/cost variances.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or another relevant Engineering field.
• Minimum 15 years of post-undergraduate experience, including at least 5 years in senior construction-supervision or site-engineering roles on building projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, safety standards, construction methods and MEP systems.
• PMP and professional-institution membership are preferred.
