Computational Research Expert (Material Discovery)

JOB OVERVIEW

Aramco is recruiting a Computational Research Expert specializing in Materials Discovery for its Research & Development Center. The role supports the development and deployment of advanced digital and computing approaches for next-generation materials and sustainable-energy technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and lead research projects focused on novel materials-discovery technologies.
• Identify collaboration opportunities with leading institutes and organizations.
• Work with stakeholders to support deployment of in-house technology options.
• Conduct outlook studies on emerging technologies in accelerated materials discovery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship and contribute to technical documentation, patents and publications.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering and a PhD are required.
• Minimum five years of experience.
• Proven record of advanced technical projects connecting basic science with industrial applications.
• Experience with molecular dynamics, Density Functional Theory, Generative AI and high-performance computing.
• Proficiency in Python coding.
