Software Engineering Intern

JOB OVERVIEW

Siemens Energy is hiring a Software Engineering Intern in Dubai within its Gas Services Middle East EHS function. The internship focuses on building digital and AI-assisted tools that improve EHS data use and operational workflows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and prototype AI-powered and digital applications for EHS use cases.
• Integrate generative-AI capabilities such as LLMs, prompt engineering and RAG into practical tools.
• Clean and structure EHS data and build dashboards and visualizations, including Power BI outputs.
• Work with EHS specialists and business stakeholders to translate workflow problems into prototypes.
• Support deployment, user training, documentation and adoption tracking.
• Apply version control, testing and API/database integration practices.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related technical field.
• Hands-on programming in Python, JavaScript or similar languages.
• Familiarity with web applications, REST APIs, JSON and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Practical exposure to generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, ML fundamentals and RAG/embeddings.
• Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
