Lead Engineer Operation Support

JOB OVERVIEW

OQ Exploration and Production is recruiting a Lead Engineer, Operations Support in Muscat, Oman. The role provides technical and operational engineering support across upstream facilities, supporting safe and efficient operations through troubleshooting, commissioning, readiness assurance and technical governance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide operational and technical engineering support across upstream surface facilities and associated systems.
• Support troubleshooting, technical assessments and operational problem-solving.
• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and operational-readiness activities.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Projects, HSE and Supply Chain on technical issues.
• Participate in operational reviews, audits, ORA and PSSR activities.
• Provide technical direction and support risk evaluation, readiness endorsement and final technical recommendations.
• Support capability development and continuous improvement within Operations Support.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in engineering design support and troubleshooting within upstream surface facilities.
• Exposure to project lifecycle activities including installation, commissioning, start-up and operational support.
• Working knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Ability to interpret PFDs, P&IDs, engineering drawings and OEM manuals.
• Excellent written and spoken English; native Arabic is desirable.
