Senior Resident Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW

AECOM is hiring a Senior Resident Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead site engineering for large-scale building projects, ensuring quality, compliance, safety, schedule and budget performance from construction through completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and supervise site engineering teams and coordinate project execution.
• Inspect workmanship, materials and construction methods for compliance with drawings, specifications and UAE codes.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals and change orders.
• Coordinate clients, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor budgets, schedules and resources and prepare technical reports.
• Oversee safety, environmental and sustainable construction requirements and support BIM-enabled coordination.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 20 years of progressive building engineering and large-scale project-management experience.
• Strong Middle East building-project experience and deep knowledge of UAE construction standards.
• Strong project, quality, safety, BIM and stakeholder-management capability.
