Job description
JOB OVERVIEW
Geo-Jade Petroleum – South Basra Integrated Project is seeking a Team Leader Mechanical Engineer for a rotation-based role in Basra supporting production facilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead mechanical maintenance strategy and execution for production facilities.
- Develop short- and long-term maintenance plans aligned with production targets.
- Oversee preventive, corrective, predictive and shutdown maintenance for rotating and static equipment.
- Drive equipment reliability, RCFA, maintenance KPIs, HSE, QA/QC and asset-integrity compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Employer states 12–15 years of mechanical maintenance experience, including at least 5 years in supervision/team leadership.
- Strong rotating/static equipment knowledge, API/ASME/OEM standards, reliability engineering and CMMS capability.
- Fluency in English and strong computer proficiency.
