Brine Reservoir Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW

Aramco is recruiting a Brine Reservoir Engineer in Saudi Arabia to develop and manage brine resources and subsurface reserves. The role provides specialized reservoir-engineering support for mineral-rich oil-field brines, including extraction and reinjection strategy, reservoir modeling, well planning and economic evaluation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Formulate brine-reservoir development, data-acquisition and sustainable extraction-and-reinjection strategies.
• Develop solutions for reservoir-performance analysis, flow dynamics and field-development planning focused on stable mineral concentration yields.
• Supervise reservoir modeling and simulation studies to optimize well spacing for extraction and disposal/reinjection wells.
• Monitor operating costs and support efficient well operation and maintenance for mineral-rich brine production.
• Work with geoscience, drilling and production teams on reservoir field studies involving fluid-rock interactions and brine-enrichment zones.
• Prepare well-construction requirements and designs for extraction and reinjection wells and provide technical support to drilling teams.
• Conduct economic evaluations to support development decisions.
• Train and mentor engineers and other professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Hydrogeology from an accredited university.
• Advanced degree is preferred.
• 10 or more years of experience in reservoir engineering or advanced hydrogeology.
• Expertise in reservoir simulation and reserves management; brine experience is preferred.
