JOB OVERVIEW

Mövenpick Hotel Al Zaytoon Baghdad is recruiting a full-time, permanent BBQ Chef in Baghdad, Iraq.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and cook barbecue dishes using smoking, grilling and specialized cooking techniques.
• Develop and refine barbecue menu items, marinades, sauces and rubs.
• Maintain temperature control, cooking times and food-safety standards.
• Manage meat preparation, inventory, equipment and kitchen supplies.
• Train kitchen colleagues and monitor food costs and portion control.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a BBQ Chef or in specialized grilling and smoking roles.
• Knowledge of smoking methods, wood selection, meat preparation and butchering.
• Strong understanding of food safety and food-handling practices.
• Experience in menu development and kitchen operations.
• HACCP or equivalent food-safety certification, catering experience and multicultural kitchen experience are preferred.
