Reservation Agent

JOB OVERVIEW

Mövenpick Hotel Al Zaytoon Baghdad is recruiting a full-time, permanent Reservation Agent in Baghdad, Iraq. The position manages room-reservation enquiries, bookings, deposits and reservation records while supporting a high standard of guest service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answer enquiries about room rates, hotel outlets and room locations.
• Work confidently with hotel reservation systems and process reservation requests accurately.
• Record advance deposits and maintain accurate deposit records.
• Process rooming lists, group blocks, special requests and billing procedures.
• Maintain current and orderly reservation correspondence and files.
• Coordinate with Front Desk, Sales and Accounts where their work connects with Reservations.
• Monitor room types, rates and availability throughout the day.
• Respond to guest questions about facilities, services, packages, promotions and special events.
• Assign and communicate confirmation and cancellation numbers accurately.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hotel reservations, front office or a similar hospitality role.
• Good knowledge of reservation procedures, room types, rates, packages and availability.
• Proficiency with hotel reservation systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills.
• Good written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of customer service.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
