Well Intervention Specialist

JOB OVERVIEW

Aramco is recruiting a Well Intervention Specialist for Well Intervention Operations within the Unconventional Resources Completion Engineering Division. The role focuses on planning, validating and optimizing rigless well-intervention activities and resolving well-integrity issues in challenging operating environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan well-intervention activities, review completed work and develop solutions for wells with integrity issues.
• Prepare field procedures for routine well intervention, diagnostics and downhole remediation.
• Evaluate and trial advanced well-completion and intervention technologies and coordinate barrier and wellhead solutions.
• Model well and field completion performance and integrity using recognized industry software.
• Maintain compliance with required regulations, standards and well-barrier requirements across intervention activities.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering from a recognized program.
• 10–15 years of rigless well-intervention experience covering design, planning and execution of wireline, slickline and coiled-tubing operations.
• Experience in critical sour-gas and preferably unconventional operating environments.
• Strong understanding of intervention and stimulation operations, well-completion design, hydraulic fracturing and flowback.
• Extensive knowledge of industry regulations, safety practices and standards for surface and downhole equipment.
