Cybersecurity Specialist

JOB OVERVIEW

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University is recruiting a Cybersecurity Specialist in Dubai to perform hands-on security testing, vulnerability management, monitoring and cloud/identity security work across enterprise systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct penetration testing across web applications, APIs, networks, servers and Active Directory environments.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with system owners.
• Monitor SIEM alerts, investigate security events and support incident response.
• Tune detection rules and improve monitoring coverage based on emerging threats.
• Review and strengthen security controls across Azure/AWS cloud environments.
• Assess Active Directory and Entra identity-security configurations and access controls.
• Support security governance, risk assessment, audits and implementation of protective technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Strong hands-on enterprise cybersecurity experience.
• OSCP, OSWE or OSEP certifications are strongly preferred.
• Hack The Box or similar practical security certifications are an advantage.
• UAE National as specified in the vacancy.
